The air is chilly and I recently just saw my first snowflakes. Every photographer has declared the wedding season over, but what about those of you who want to get married in the winter time? What if the wedding season you chose was winter? So to help the planning along I wanted to feature some great winter DIY projects!
My favorite up first!
I love the wintery-cozy feeling I get looking at this wreath. It makes me think of kittens and Christmas and warm fires! It would be a great wedding decoration, you could even include a sign saying your names or “Just Married.”
If you’re looking for centerpieces, try a snow globe, or a snow scene, in (what else) a mason jar!
You can make a simple snow scene, but if you want to make a simple snow scene, make sure you use distilled water (or recently boiled water) so you don’t get icky things growing in your centerpieces!

So in the winter, flowers are in short supply, but a bouquet of mostly greens can be just as gorgeous!
Not to mention that THIS bouquet is far cheaper than a flowering bouquet!
My second favorite I have saved for last and is not entirely DIY.
I just love this favor idea! Every guest gets a sapling to take home and plant, a practically-forever reminder of your love for them to keep. The DIY part comes in when you put some burlap around it and tie a ribbon and a card on it. Really simple, and definitely a unique favor!
So those are my picks for some great winter DIY projects! What are yours? Are you doing any DIY for your winter wedding?
